Monday Preview (8/16-8/22)

The Iowa Western Reivers Men’s Soccer team has been hard at work during this preseason after a short break from this past spring season. With 21 returning players coming back who made it to the National Championship abd also adding some newcomers who are eager to help the team, the Reivers men's soccer team is ready to go into the new season to hopefully replicate this last season and take the next step as a program.

This week the Reivers have two exhibition games to start the 2021 fall season. On Tuesday August 17th they will be facing the Bluejays of Creighton University to be hosted at Morrison Stadium with a 7pm kickoff. Tickets can be purchased using this link https://am.ticketmaster.com/creighton/buy#/ This will be an exciting contest as we will potentially be playing former All American Reiver in Patrick Millard who is in his first season with the Bluejays since transferring to the school following this past season.

Following that game against the Bluejays, the Iowa Western men’s soccer team will play against Concordia University from Seward, Nebraska to be hosted at the Reivers Sports Complex on our beautiful campus. Kickoff is scheduled for 3pm. The Concordia Bulldogs are a NAIA institution who posted a record of 10-5-3 during the 2020-21 season.

After these two exhibition games the Reivers will jump straight into regular season games as they will face Jefferson College on Friday August 27th with a kickoff scheduled for 3pm. This game will take place at the Reivers Sports Complex. The Reivers met with the Jefferson College Vikings in the Midwest District Semi Final match during this past spring season with he Reiver’s winning the match 7-0.
