IOWA WESTERN WRAPS UP THE 2024 BENT TREE INTERCOLLEGIATE

Council Bluffs, IA - The Reiver Men's golf team wrapped up the 2024 Bent Tree Intercollegiate this past Monday, and Tuesday hosted by Iowa Western at Bent Tree Golf Club. The men welcomed some extremely competitive teams to the field this year and finished 3rd overall. Bent Tree was in excellent condition, and the teams enjoyed two great days of 54-hole competition. Highlighting the scoring for the Reivers was sophomore Nick Slobbe who shot two under par (70) in round one, one over par (73) in round two, and closed with a one over par (73) in the final round to finish tied for 5th individually at even par for the tournament. "We played well in stretches," said Iowa Western Coach Ryan Norman. "We have a lott of guys that can play very well, we're just working through the consistency in their performance week in and week out."

The men will be back in action when they travel up to Sioux City, IA to compete in the Mustang Derby hosted by Morningside University at Whispering Creek Golf Club. Dates for that event are October 7th & 8th.
