Reivers Shine at UNL Graduate Classic

Lincoln, NE

The Reivers travelled to Lincoln, NE this weekend to compete in the Graduate Classic Invite hosted by The University of Nebraska. The Reivers finished the day posting 10 top ten performances on the day. Yonas Mogos led the men on the track punching his ticket to nationals in the 1 Mile Run winning the event with a time of 4:11.46. That time breaks a ten year old record set by Isaiah Samoei at the 2011 NJCAA Championships. Freshman Andrew Brown finished 3^rd in the men's 600m dash while teammate Yonas Mogos finished 2^nd in the mile while qualigying for nationals running 4:11.46. Freshman Elisha Turner finished 10^th in the Men's Shot Put, his throw of 15.12m qualified him for NJCAA Nationals.

On the women's side Sophomore Osayi Omorodion led the way with two top 3 finishes, qualifying to nationals in the long jump and 60mh. Dyandra Gray finished fifth in the 60mh opening her season with a time of 8.56 punching her ticket to nationals. Sophomore Victory George punched her ticket to nationals in the 60m dash running 7.70 while Shariden Richardson finished sixth in the 1000m run.

The Reivers will be back in action Saturday at the Northwest Open hosted by the Northwest Missouri.
