Reivers Battle Back, Top 9th Ranked NIACC on the Road

Mason City, Iowa

A 14-3, major decision win for Dillyn Miller at 285 started Reiver Wrestling off on the right foot Tuesday night in a 26-19 dual victory at ninth-ranked North Iowa Area.

After dropping decisions at 125 and 133, Creighton Baughman pinned NIACC's Kael Glenn to put the Reivers up for good on the team scoreboard.

Levi May followed with a win at 149, while Isaiah Crosby cashed in at 157 with the team's second pin of the night and the deciding points in the victory.

Michael Aguirre (174) and Josh McFarland (184) each put together wins to cap the scoring for IWCC (3-0).

"We need to keep building off these matches and opportunities this season especially when the number of matches we have will be limited."  Said Head Coach Josh Watts, "The guys are wrestling well we just need to enforce our will on our opponents more in the later periods."

The Reivers have the weekend off before they'll face Ellsworth at home inside Reiver Arena next Thursday, February 25th.
