Heidi Jordan's first season with the Reivers.  The Team finished 23-16 with just one returner from the previous season.  Five players earned ICCAC All-Region honors.  Catcher Cydnee Schneider earned the ICCAC Defensive Player of the Year award.

Ben Greer's final season with Iowa Western.  The team went 41-21 and was the Region XI regular season and tournament runner-up.  Designated Player Camryn Milley earned NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American honors.

2020-21 42-22

Iowa Western went 42-22 on the year while also winning the NFCA Easton Top Academic Team of the Year for two-year colleges with a 3.83 cumulative GPA.  Head Coach Ben Greer also won his 300th game during the season.  Brook Melnychuk earned 2nd team NJCAA and NFCA All-American Honors along with ICCAC Pitcher of the Year.  Melnychuk and Katriana Bain earned First Team All-ICCAC honors.  With Myla Beckstrom, AJ Gregory, Mattilyn Reiling, and Jessica Strandlund making the Second Team All-ICCAC.  Myla Beckstrom, Karlie Chonis, McKayla DuVal, Tayler Floyd, Jerika Koopmeiners, Brook Melnychuk, Taya Opheim, Nicolette Reyna, Hannah Smart, Darci Wagner, Ashlynn Amdor, Allison Anding, Shelby Hatcher, Madeline Layman, Sydney McCorkle, Mattilyn Reiling, Alexis Blankenfeld, Sage Copeland, Logan Corcoran, Rilee Filip, Aujenai Gregory, Emily Hatchitt, Jessica Strandlund, Mariah Villanueva, and Kennedy Walls all made the NJCAA All-Academic Team.  Also, every member of the team made the ICCAC First Team Academic All-Region for having a 3.5 GPA or higher, which included Katriana Bain and Libby Walls.

2019-2020 12-14

The Covid-19 Pandemic suspended the season on March 13th with the Reivers on the 9-game winning streak.  There were no post-season awards given for competition.  However, Iowa Western did finish the year with the highest team GPA in the country for softball with a 3.72 cumulative.  Carlie Benes, McKenna Clausen, Rilee Filip, Julie Katz, Madeline Layman, Jessica Strandlund, Chloe Brown, Avery Doucet, Natalie Gunn, Emily Hatchitt, Brook Melnychuk, Taya Opheim, Katriana Bain, Rebecca Barnett, and Aujenai Gregory all made the NJCAA All-Academic Team.

2018-2019 33-24

In the spring of 2019, the Reivers went 33-24 before having their season end at the Region XI tournament. Lily Gregory earned NJCAA All-American honors for her work in the outfiled and at the plate. She also was named Region XI Offensive Player of the Year. Six players earned All-Region honors: Lily Gregory (1st Team), Julie Katz (1st Team), Tyla Lee (1st Team), Sydney Reamer (1st Team), Cassiddy Beeby (2nd Team), and Alyssa Maldonado (2nd Team). Iowa Western finished 15th in the Nation in team GPA with a 3.51 cumulative while placing 11 on the NJCAA All-Academic Team: Cassiddy Beeby, Carlie Benes, Logon Brown, Avery Doucet, Michaela Epp, Lily Gregory, Natalie Gunn, Julie Katz, Tyla Lee, Alyssa Maldonado, and Allison O'Driscoll. 14 players also earned Academic All-Region honors, with 12 earning First Team accolades: Cassiddy Beeby, Carlie Benes, Logon Brown, Avery Doucet, Michaela Epp, Lily Gregory, Natalie Gunn, Julie Katz, Tyla Lee, Alyssa Maldonado, Allison O'Driscoll, and Sydney Reamer.  Two players made the Second Team: Alison Arndt and Emily Jacobs.

2017-2018 44-10

Iowa Western went 44-10 in Coach Greer's third season. The Reivers made another appearance in the Region XI Championship game. Zoe Hicks had a lights out season at the plate and in the circle eaning thee separate All-American honors (1st Team NJCAA, 2nd Team Fastpitch News, and 3rd Team NFCA). She was also named Offensive Player of the Year in Region XI. Eight players earned All-Region honors: Brieanna Brock (1st Team), Michael Bilger (2nd Team), Lily Gregory (1st Team), Zoe Hicks (1st Team), Tyla Lee (1st Team), Allison O'Driscoll (2nd Team), Naomi Terrazas (1st Team), and Celia Valenica (2nd Team). In the classroom the Reivers won the NJCAA Softball Academic Team of the Year with a 3.7 Team GPA and placed ten on the Academic All-American list: Alison Arndt, Brieanna Brock, Brielle Chisholm, Lily Gregory, Zoe Hicks, Keelee Huff, Shannan Jones, Sierra Leon, Alyssa Maldonado, and Allison O'Driscoll.  The Reivers also had 14 student athletes earn First Team Academic All-Region honors (Alison Arndt, Michal Bilger, Brieanna Brock, Brielle Chisholm, Michaela Epp, Lily Gregory, Zoe Hicks, Keelee Huff, Shannan Jones, Tyla Lee, Sierra Leon, Alyssa Maldonado, Allison O'Driscoll, and Celia Valencia) and two make Second Team Academic All-Region (Naomi Terrazas and Darby Zadina).  Coach Greer also earned his 200th career win during the season.

2016-2017 36-14

Reivers went 36-14 while making another appearance in the Region XI Championship game, losing by a run. Brieanna Brock was named Fastpitch News All-American Honorable Mention while earning First Team All-Region and Co-Region Pitcher of the Year Honors. Jade Lee earned First Team All-Region and NFCA All-Midwest Second Team Honors for her play at Short Stop. Alyx Hagen and Naomi Terrazas also earned First Team All-Region during the season. Zoe Hicks, Keele Huff, Rebecca Riley, and Celia Valencia earned Second Team All-Region awards. The squad also boasted a 3.59 Team GPA and had 15 members receive First Team Academic All-Region honors (Kylie Allen, Brieanna Brock, Sidney Copeland, Brooke Doumer, Adrienne Gocke, Alyx Hagen, Zoe Hicks, Keele Huff, Shannan Jones, Jade Lee, Sierra Leon, Rebecca Riley, Deana Roth, Patricia Sherman, and Celia Valencia.  Two others also earned Second Team Academic All-Region (Naomi Terrazas and Darby Zadina). The Reiver again ranked in the Top Ten in the Country academically with the NFCA.

2015-2016 40-24

Head Softball Coach Ben Greer, in his 1st season, led the Reiver Softball team to a 40-24 record. Coach Greer notched his 100th career victory along the way as well. Jade Lee was named an NJCAA and NFCA Third Team All-American. Lee was named the Region XI Defensive Player of the Year and to the First Team NFCA All-Midwest Region. Ellie Ponce was named the Region XI Pitcher of the Year. First Team All-Region: Maddie Boyd, Tracey Edwards, Jade Lee, Ellie Ponce, and Raylene Uribe. Second Team All-Region: Alyx Hagen and Lyndi McIntyre. Maddie Boyd, Ashley Caro, Sidney Copeland, Tracey Edwards, Adrienne Gocke, Alyx Hagen, Jade Lee, Lyndi McIntyre, Claudia Navarro, Ellie Ponce, Rebecca Riley, Trish Sherman and Raylene Uribe were named Region XI First Team Academic All-Region. Carlyee Arndt and Toree Polsley were named Region XI Second Team Academic All-region. The Reivers were also an NFCA Top Ten Academic Team.

Sophomore LHP Rachel Henks shatters 9 Iowa Western Softball records after facing over 5,000 batters with a 2.49 ERA. Henks was named to the NFCA Mid-West All-Region Team as well as NJCAA 3rd Team All-American and ICCAC Pitcher of the Year after throwing 314.2 innings, striking out 343 batters and winning 37 games for the season. Sophomore Dana Hieda receives numerous accolades, including making the ICCAC First Team and being named the ICCAC Defensive, Offensive, and, and Player of the Year. ICCAC First Team Members: Kaitlin Buchholz, Rachel Henks, Jocelyn Hernandez, Dana Hieda, Allie Martinez, and Amanda Wightman. ICCAC Second Team Members: Tracey Edwards. ICCAC First Team Acadmic Award Winners: Kaitlin Buchholz, Mollie Gabbert, Jocelyn Hernandez, Dana Hieda, Allie Martinez, Amanda Wightman. ICCAC Second Team Academic: ReAnn Cappel, Ashley Caro, Tracey Edwards, Rachel Henks, Kelsey Koozer, and Raylene Uribe.

Head Softball Coach Lana Ross, in her 12th year, led the Reiver Softball team to a 39-20 record. Coach Ross also achieved her 500th win this season. Aubrey Voboril was named an NJCAA All-American. KayLynn Chrisman and Aubrey Voboril we named NJCAA Academic All-Americans. KayLynn Chrisman, Dana Hieda, Chelsey King, Ashley Schmidt, Michelle Trulin, Aubrey Voboril, and Amanda Wightman were named to the All-Region XI 1st Team. Kaitlin Buchholz, Morgan Hoeg, Jocelyn Hernandez, and Samantha Villegas were names to the All-Region XI 2nd Team. Dana Hieda was named the Region XI Defensive Player of the Year, as well as the All-Region XI Player of the Year. Aubrey Voboril was named the Region XI Pitcher of the Year. Kaitlin Buchholz, KayLynn Chrisman, Morgan Hoeg, Dana Hustedt, Samantha Villegas, and Aubrey Voboril were named NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes. The 2013-2014 Reiver Softball Team was named a top-ten NFCA Academic Team.

2012-2013 42-14

Head Softball Coach Lana Ross, in her 11th year, led the Reiver Softball team to a 42-14 record finishing as the Region XI & District J Champions and advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament in St. George, UT with a third-round finish. The Reiver Softball Team was named a 2013 NJCAA All-Academic Team with the help of eight players being named to the Academic All-Region XI First Team and six named Academic All-Region XI 2nd Team. Eight players were named ICCAC All-Region XI First Team. Ashley Schmidt was named Region XI Pitcher of the Year. Rebekah Sanchez and Jena Gonzales were named NJCAA All-Americans. Sanchez was also named the ICCAC Softball Player of the Year, ICCAC Defensive Player of the Year, and NFCA All-Midwest Region First Team.

 

11 9 Roster Schedule
2011-2012 49-20

Reiver Softball finishes with a 49-20 record as the Region XI Champions. Daleigh Fossler was named both offensive and defensive ICCAC Player of the Year. Greta Smeins was named ICCAC Pitcher of the Year. NJCAA Academic All-American awards winners were Greta Smeins, Cailin Simpson, Breana Canova, and Kylee Simpson. Coach Ross also achieved her 400th win this season.

2010-2011 49-14

49-14 record finishing as the Region XI and District K Champions and advanced to the NJCAA Tournament, finishing 7th. Bradi Wall, Daleigh Fossler, and Greta Smeins were named ICCAC Players of the Year. Bradi Wall and Kylee Simpson were named NJCAA All-Americans. The NJCAA Academic All-American award winner was Bradi Wall. They were also named an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.

2009-2010 41-15

41-15 record finishing as the regular season runner-up in Region XI. There were six players named tot eh All-Region team. NJCAA Academic All-American award winners were Luisa Bar and Angela Jay. Coach Ross also achieved her 300th win this season.

 

       
2008-2009 41-20

Softball finishes the season with a 41-20 record. The team had another record-setting year as they broke the "Most Hits in a Game" record along with four other individual records broken. Toni Dance was named an NJCAA All-American. NJCAA Academic All-American award winners were Amanda Plambeck, Toni Dance, and Kayla Slycord.

 

       
2007-2008 53-13

With a 53-13 record and a repeat apearance in the Disctrict playoffs, the Reiver softball team advances to the National Tournament for the first time in school history, finishing 5th place. Jenna Dell was named to the All-Tournament team at Nationals. The team had a record setting year as they broke the team wins record, with 53 wins and ten individual records were also broken. Toni Dance, Jenna Dell (1st Team) and Kelsey Meyers (3rd Team) were named All-Americans. Meyers also received the Diamond Catcher of the Year award. NJCAA Academic All-American award winners were Samantha Buchanan and Kimber Markley.

2006-2007 38-25

38-25 record and a first-ever appearance in the District playoffs. Six players were named to All-Region teams and ten received Academic All-Region honors. Amanda Perrott was named a DIstringuished NJCAA Academic All-American. Three players have signed with 4-year institutions to further their careers. The softball team was also nominated for NJCAA Academic Team of the Year with their cumulative grade point average of 3.400.

Record setting 50-19 finish. Eight players were named to All-Region teams, fifteen received Academic All-Region honors, and three team players were named NJCAA Academic All-Americans. Kora Behrens and Jennifer Strohman were named NJFC Division I 1st team All-Region. Chanel Reaves was named 3rd Team NJCAA All-American and NFCA Division I 2nd team All-Region. The softball team was also nominated for NJCAA Academic Team of the Year with their cumulative grade point average of 3.405.

In just her second season as Head Coach, Lana Ross leads the Reivers to 27 broken records. Named to the All-Region XI First Team were Nicole Fringer, Lori Huelskamp, and Danica Ritchie. Named to the All-Region XI Second Team were Katie Leland, Dara Ritchie, Paige Robinson, Nichole Kalasky, Lauren Neal, and Channon Nitz. NJCAA Academic All-American was Julie Fels (3.82 GPA).

Under newly-appointed Head Coach Lana Ross, the Reivers place runner-up in the Region XI tournament. All-Region XI First Team recipients were Allison Stracke, Courtney Sayre, Channon Nitz, Jackie Heeren, and Dallas Wilson. All-Region XI Second Team recipients were Elicia Johnson, Tara Buckley, and Maren Muldoon. The NJCAA named three players as Academic All-Americans: Jessica Dophens (3.76 GPA), Elicia Johnson (3.62 GPA), and Jackie Heeren (3.65 GPA)

Fourth season Head Coach Brenda Coldren leads the Reiver Softball Program to a 22-23 finish, naming Andrea Lockett, Kaeli Ammerman, Jackie Heeren, Jackie Simon, and Erica Wegele to All-Region XI First Team awards. Amber Terry was named to the All-Region XI Second Team.

In Head Coach Brenda Coldren's third season, Reiver Softball completes the season with a 31-17 record. All-Region XI First Team recipients were Andrea Lockett, Andrea Hesse, Jane Felt, Ashlea Montgomery, Jill Locket, and Brooke Greenwood. All-Region XI Second Team award winners were Erica Wegele, Jessica Bray, Lisa Perry, and Jessica Cline.

Second season Head Coach Brenda Coldren leads the Reivers to a 25-23 finish. All-Region XI First Team recipients were: Jessica Bray, Mary Shae Carpenter, Jill Lockett, Nicole Garber, Michelle Cannon, and Andre Hesse. All-Region Second Team recipients were: Brooke Greenwood, Stephanie Runge, Taylor Kurtz, and Sandra Owen.

Under newly-appointed Head Coach Brenda Coldren, the Reivers finish with an 8-23 record. Sara Gaul and Missy Greise were named to the All-Region XI Second Team, while Laura Emmole received Honorable Mention accolades. Laura Emmole was also named an Academic All-American with a 3.82 GPA.

Under Head Coach Brenda Hampton, the Reivers finish with a 17-28 record, recognizing Valencia Moody as a 2nd Team All-American Shortstop, All-Region XI First Team, and Region XI Defensive Player of the Year. All-Region XI Second Team honorees were Catcher Meaghan Shea. Honorable Mention recipients were Valerie Hippen and Sara Gaul.

The Reiver Softball Team finishes with a 24-19 record with record Acadmic All-American style. 1997 NJCAA Academic All-Americans: Elizabeth Opal (3.71 GPA), Kori Nielson (3.62 GPA), Angie Krueger (3.60 GPA). Freshman Valencia Moody was named Iowa Western Player of the Week for April 20, 1997. Moody was also named to the 1997 All-Region XI First Team (SS), received NJCAA Defensive Player of the Year honors, and was also nominated as an NJCAA All-American. Meaghen Shea (C) was named to the All-Region XI Second Team. Receiving All-Region XI Honorable Mention accolades are Robin Davis, Angie Krueger, Heather Mueller, Elizabeth Opal, Melissa McDermott, and Jenny Privett.

Under new Head Coach Brenda Hampton, the Reivers finished their season with a 15-19 record. Karen Vaad has an impressive season, appearing in 20 games and pitching 106 innings. Vaad led Region XI that year with 60 Ks and an .85 ERA. Vaad was also named to the 1991 All-Region XI Second Team (P). Shelly Settlemyer (C) and Natalie Hitchcock (OF) were named to the 1991 Region XI Honorable Mention Team.

After suffering a heartbreaking 1-0 loss in the Region XI Tournament versus NIACC of Mason City, Iowa Western softball was quickly underway. The Reivers began their debut season with an overall record of 11-10 on the season under Head Coach Ann Loughlin, assisted by Margaret White.
