Thomas Craig Continues Great Play, Reivers finish 2nd

Thomas Craig continued his great play taking medalist honors at the weather shortened Red Raider Cup. Originally scheduled to be a 36-hole, 1-day event, The Red Raider Cup was shortened to just 18 holes due to very cold morning temperatures. Conditions were still pretty difficult at the start with the feels like temperatures below freezing.

Thomas Craig fired a 65 (-6) to take medalist honors by 1 shot! His round included back-to-back eagles and he also birdied his final hole to win by 1 stroke. Gus Sjoberg and Graedon Woodward played both shot even par, 71 to help the team to a 2nd place finish.

Overall, a team score of 281 (-3) placed us 2nd behind Morningside University who ran away from the field with a -12, 272. "I'm happy with the mental effort the guys put into today," Assistant Coach Derrick Ceder said. "We were looking forward to a 36-hole day as a good tune-up for districts next week so, not only did they get mentally fired up for just 18 holes, they had to battle some pretty cold and blustery conditions all day."
