Reivers Finish 2nd at Weather Shortened Bethany College Classic

The Reivers comeback bid was cut short after 10 holes in Tuesdays final round due to unplayable conditions. Golf balls were no longer staying in place on the putting surfaces due to high wind speeds (60mph gusts!!!!!). Monday's first round will be used as the final results for the Bethany College Classic at Sand Creek Station in Newton, KS.

Our team score of 282 (-6) was good enough for 2nd place overall. We were led by Sophomores Graedon Woodward and Thomas Craig. Both finished round 1 with a score of -3 (69) which placed them in a tie for 3rd individually.

"It was great to finally get some good scoring conditions on Monday and the guys took advantage of it. Our drop score was a 73 (+1) which I believe was the lowest in the field so, that is always a good sign moving forward," Assistant Coach Derrick Ceder said. "I'm glad we decided to give it a go on Tuesday. The correct decision was made in the end but, playing in those conditions for 10-12 holes will help us mentally down the road."
