Reiver Men Golf Come Up Short in the Siouxland Invitational

A cold putting final round ends the Reivers winning chances at the Siouxland Invitational. After opening with an -8, 280 at The Ridge Golf Club in the 1st round, the Reivers just didn't have their best in a final round E, 284 at Landsmeer Golf Club, eventually finishing 2nd as a team. Just 4 shots behind Morningside University.

Sophomore Graedon Woodward lead the way with a top 3 finish. His opening round of 67 (-5) was followed up by a 71 (E) for a 2-round total of 138, 4 shots behind 1st place. Woodward made 10 birdies in the 36-hole competition! The Reivers also had 2 more players finish inside the top 10. Gus Sjoberg finished the event at -1 (70-72) good enough for a T7 and Jason Kolbas carded an even par total (70-73) to give him a tie for 9th.

"It was another good tournament for us as far as ball striking. Morningside is a very good team and really, it just came down to them making more putts than us in the final round.", Said Assistant coach Derrick Ceder. "Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the other team and say well played, but, this will give us motivation and some things to work on during our time off from competition!"
