The Reiver Men competed in the DMACC Invitational hosted at the Ames Country Club to continue their Fall 2020 campaign. High winds were the story once again, gusting up to 30 mph throughout the day, making control of a golf ball a challenge and scores higher than the team would have liked, but the Reivers competed well and earned a one-shot victory over rival Indian Hills.
Jakob Falk Schollert led the way with a 2-under par 69 to win the individual title for the event. Grant Jabenis shot an even par 71 and Gustav Sjoeberg shot rounds of 1-over par 72. All in all, the team shot a 2-over par 286.
The Reivers not only took the overall title, but had a 2nd team in the event as well. That team earned a 3rd place finish with a round of 296. Daniel Gutgesell led the 2nd team with a round of 1-over par 72, and Thomas Craig fired a 2-over par 73.
The Reivers tee it up for the final time this fall on October 19th and 20th at the Viking Invitational hosted by Grandview University at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny, Iowa.
