Reivers Men's Golf competed in the Zach Johnson Invitational hosted by Drake University in West Des Moines this week. The 54-hole contest was played over 2 days at Glen Oaks Country Club, with 36 holes played on day one of the event. The Reivers battled a tough course and windy conditions shooting rounds of 313 and 306 to open the tournament. Despite the conditions, the Reivers found themselves tied for 2nd with host Drake University, six shots behind the leader Missouri State.
Day two saw the wind settle down to bring conditions more conducive to scoring for the final round and appropriately the men got off to a great start. The Reivers found themselves jockeying for the lead the entire day but an unfortunate DQ dropped the team into 4th place. Drake University went on to win the team title and Gonzalo Leal from the University of Iowa won the individual competition. Jakob Falk Schollert led the Reivers with a 13th place finish after rounds of 82, 72, 76.
