Reviers start off confrence play with 3 straight wins over the Marshalltown Tigers. The Reivers out scored the Tigers with 43 runs to the Tigers 9.
Game 1: Reivers open up the weekend with an 8-2 victory over the Tigers. Caleb Balgaard led the way with 3 of the Reivers 11 hits and 4 RBIs. On the mound, Marius Balandis picked up his 3rd win of the season. He went 4 innings, out of the bullpen, giving up 1 hit and punching out 5.
Game 2: Iowa Western wins with a score of 14-1. Caleb Balgaard and Ross Indlecoffer both launch homeruns and combine for 6 of the 13 Reiver hits. 7 Different Reivers knocked in runs in the game with 4 having multiple RBI games.
Game 3: With a score of 21- 6 the Reivers top the Marshalltown Tigers. Ronald Sweeny goes 3 for 5 with 3 Home Runs and 8 RBIs in a game that saw 6 Reiver home runs and a 13 run 6th inning. On the mound Dalton Mall picks up his first collegiate win going 1 and a third striking out 2. Trystan Kimmel picks up another save to finish it off.
Game 4 will be continued at a later date due to darkness. The Reivers are currently down 5-4 going into the top of the 4th inning.
The Reivers will face off against Southwestern CC this weekend, April 6th, to continue conference play.
