The Reivers made it 9 in a row as they beat the visiting T-Birds of Cloud County 13-6 on Tuesday afternoon.
Iowa Western used 6 pitchers during the 9 inning game where Red-Shirt Freshman Jayden Kruse (North Platte, NE) landed his 3rd win of the season going 4.2 innings pitched striking out 7. The pitching staff allowed 8 hits throughout the game while fanning 12.
The Reiver offense rattled off 13 hits and racked up 11 free passes (5 HBPs - 6 BBs) in the victory. Sophomore John Hawk (McClelland, IA) led Iowa Western going 2-2 on the day with a 2B, 3B, HBP, 2 Runs Scored, and 3 RBIs. Breyden Eckhout (SO, Amherst, NE) added a 2 RBIs as he blasted his first Homerun of the season.
Iowa Western is back in action as they travel to Marshalltown, IA for Games 3 & 4 of their weather delayed series on Wednesday April 11th with the games starting at 1pm.
