Reiver Women Finish 2nd, Men 3rd in Season Opening Cross Country Meet

A much anticipated season opener is finally in the books for Reivers' Cross Country.
The Reivers raced in the Viking Cross Country Invitational hosted by Grand View University on Friday evening in Ankeny.
The Women's team, paced by freshman Mohussin Abakar's 21:05, finished 2nd in the meet with an overall score of 69, while the Men's team finished in third place behind the top NJCAA DI and DII teams in the nation. Freshman Yonas Mogos led the men with a second-place finish, running a time of 26:38.
The Reivers will be back in action next Saturday morning at the Morningside Invitational in Sioux City, Iowa.
