COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Iowa Western Volleyball's season came to an end on Saturday evening, falling to Mineral Area 3-0 in the Midwest District B finals. The Reivers defeated John A. Logan earlier in the day 3-1 to set up the match with the Cardinals. Iowa Western finishes the 2023 campaign 16-19 and is the ICCAC Region 11 and Midwest District B runner-up.
Mineral Area advanced to the NJCAA National Tournament starting on November 15th.
Iowa Western's future is bright, all but Sophomore Libero Julia Udell is set to return next season, including setter Yuna Ansquer, who crossed the 1,000-assist mark earlier this season.
