HILLSBORO, MISSOURI

Iowa Western started the day early with a strong, straight-sets sweep over Vincennes (25-19, 25-11, 25-15). Bryn Stansberry and Leah Palensky were sound in the back row for the Reivers, locking in 18 and 17 digs each. Kelsey Havel had 17 kills and 10 digs. Larissa Schneid posted 9 kills on a .333 clip.

Immediately after, the Reivers faced Missouri State-West Plains for the second time this season.  The Reivers topped the Grizzlies in the season's previous match, but this time the Reivers couldn't find a way to win the fifth set, falling 25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 23-25 and 17-19.  Stansberry again led the Reivers in the backcourt with 23 digs; while Larissa Schneid led the front row with 22 kills and an impressive .432 clip. Reka Kotorman produced a double-double in digs (15) and assists (60), while Havel contributed a double-double as well with 20 kills and 10 digs. 

The Reivers return home, for Sophomore Night, Wednesday, October 30th at 6 pm as they face ICCAC rival Indian Hills.  A win gives the Reivers the Region XI title outright with one weekend to play.
