Reivers Start ICCAC Play With Straight Set Winner Over Marshalltown

MARSHALLTOWN, IA

After a rough weekend in colorful Colorado, Reivers Volleyball got back on the right track in a hurry.

The Reivers kicked off conference play against Marshalltown Community College, earning a sweep (25-15, 25-21 and 25-6).  Despite an early fight from the Tigers, they were outmatched by the Reivers.  Freshman setter Reka Kotorman provided the punch with her third double-double of the season.  The Hungary native tallied 11 digs and 32 set assists to set the pace.  Sophomore outside hitter Kelsey Havel led the squad offensively, scoring 12 kills and picking up 6 digs.  Another freshman, middle hitter Gracie Teeter was a blocking machine, setting up 6 out of the 13 total blocks for the Reivers.

The Reivers will use an off weekend to get ready for inter-conference rival Missouri State University-West Plains on the road at the West Plains Civic Center on Wednesday night.
