Reivers finish strong at Jefferson Classic

Hillsboro, MO. - The Reivers were ready to bounce back after last night's loss. Taking on Illinois Central College in a three-set match (25-9, 25-10 and 25-12). The front court remained sharp as middle hitter, Sheridan, notched a hitting percentage of .846 with 11 kills. Morgan Bossler and Kelsey Havel were a force at the net combining for 8 blocks. Macies led the back row with 17 digs while Pua'a added 5 digs and 26 assists.

The second and last match of the day was against Jefferson College, a team the Reivers saw earlier this season. Iowa Western kept their focus and got the job done in three-straight sets (25-16, 25-22 and 25-14).  Alyssa Oswald and Alekseeva teamed up to score 22 kills for the team. Defensively, Morgan Bossler posted 3 blocks while Macies in the back court picked up 11 digs.  Hina Pua'a did it again with her second double-double of the weekend contributing 34 assists and 11 digs.

The Reivers will head over to Scottsbluff, Ne this weekend to play No.19, Western Nebraska.
