Reivers Wrap Up Trio of Meets in Northwest Missouri; National Qualifiers Now Stands at Eight

Maryville, Missouri

Another successful weekend in Missouri ended three straight Saturdays for the Reivers at Northwest Missouri State at the Herschel Neil Invite. 
 
On the men's side Emmanuel Niang and Tajean Houston finished 1-2 in the men's 60m hurdles. Houston ran 8.04 which is 3rd in the nation followed by Niang's 8.04, good for fourth in the nation. LeeAaron Berks won the men's 600y running a qualifying time of 1:12.69, Yonas Mogos won the 5k with a qualifying time of 15:06.34, Tyrell Johnson won the men's long jump with a jump of 6.94m he currently ranks 4th in the event.  The men saw three more qualifiers for Indoor Nationals, their total number now stands at. 
 
Nickisha Pryce broke the school record in the 400m dash and currently stands as the NJCAA leader in that event. Victory George won the women's long jump, leaping 5.71m, while Terresha and Tirecia Walcott finished 1-2 in the women's 60m dash running 7.60 and 7.65, Aliyah McNeil won the women's HJ with a jump of 1.71m she leads the nation in that event.  Overall the women qualified one more student-athlete 
 
NJCAA rankings are also out and both men's and women's teams rank 3rd in the week one release.  The marks ties the highest ranking ever on the men's side and is the highest ranking ever received on the women's side in program history.
 
This weekend's schedule meet at Central Missouri has been cancelled, giving the Reivers a much needed break before competing in the D1 / Juco Triangles at Washburn University in Topeka, February 12th.
