Iowa Western Scores 5 to Beat NIACC

Council Bluffs, IA:  5 different Reivers score as Iowa Western beats NIACC to improve to 3-0 in conference, 6-3 overall.

 

How It Happened:  The Reivers wasted little time finding the back of the net, 19 minutes into the game Moriah Lucas put in the first goal.  No more than 2 minutes later, Lina Jaime would extend that score to 2-0.  Alexis Ashmore would push the score to 3-0 in the following minute, she would score that with an assist from Alexis Kellar.  Then, in the 38th minute of the game, Alexis Kellar would score her own goal by pressing the backline of NIACC.  7 minutes later, Jamie Hackett would score off an assist from Morgan Garcia, pushing the score to 5-0 in the first half.  The Reivers would take 20 shots in the first half, then 12 in the second half to outshoot NIACC 32-7 in the game.

 

Notes & Numbers: Iowa Western improves to 6-3-0 overall and 3-0-0 in conference play.  5 different Reivers found the back of the net in this contest.  Judit Gonzalez extends her shutout streak to 2 games.
