The Reiver Women's golf team opened the Spring season by competing in the Holiday Inn Invite hosted by Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, MO. The tournament was cut short because of course and weather conditions.
The Ladies sat in 5th place after day 1, which was led by Freshman Rylin Davidson who shot a career best round of 75. Baylie Pyke was 2 strokes back with a 77.
"For the first tournament of the season, it was good to start competing again. I saw some positive improvements from the fall that we have been working on in our indoor facility this past winter". Said Head Coach Matt Robinson. "It was a little disappointing to shoot +13 as a team on our last 5 holes. We could have easily sat in 2nd place. But these are learning experiences."
The women will be in action again April 2nd and 3rd competing in Lincoln, NE in the Spring Bulldog Invite hosted by Concordia University. The tournament will consist of 54 holes; 36 holes on day 1 and 18 holes on day 2.
