Baylie Pyke once again finished in first place after a 4-hole playoff. After shooting rounds of 74-76 Pyke found herself tied for first place with Maria Pinedo from Bellevue University. Both girls parred their first 3 holes in the playoff with Pyke prevailing on the 4th extra hole with a par.
The Iowa Western women's team once again settled for Runner-Up after leading after day 1. After firing a team score of 312 on day one led by Pyke. Beatriz Pinheiro and Lauren Brown shot rounds of 79 while Wen-Yi Hung rounded out the scoring with an 80. The Reivers couldn't hold on to the lead to finish the tournament losing to Bellevue University by 2 strokes.
"It was great to see Baylie win another event," said Head Coach Matt Robinson "But for the team to lose again after having the lead was disappointing. We need to learn to close events out on day 2. We need to spend a lot of time on our putting, we had almost 15 3-putts."
The Reivers will close out their Fall season Oct 6th and 7th competing in the Peru State College Fall Invite at Table Creek Golf Course in Nebraska City, NE
