Bradley 11 Pins Short of Top Five Finish; Women Finish 11th at Kohawk Invite

Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Men's and Women's were part of a loaded field in the Kohawk Invite over the weekend.  Similar to other weekends this spring, the tournament's format was shortened to fit into a single day of competition.  The Reivers bowled three traditional games followed by 12 baker games at the event, with the top four from the men and women bowling a best two of three baker game bracket to determine the winner.

On the Men's side, the team started strong, bowling 1029 in game one of the day, their best of the day.  Games two and three didn't go quite as well, as the Reivers rolled a 913 and 879 to finish 9th in the tournament

The men started off strong with a 1029 game 1, followed by a 913 to see themselves 3rd after the second game.  Sophomore Tim Lincoln was the standout for IWCC, placing 7th overall.

For the Women's squad, Shalee Bradley rolled a 610 series for the three games to grab an eighth-place finish.  Bradley was just 11 pins away from another top 5 finish.  Overall the team posted a solid 757 in Baker set two, but struggled to find consistency, ultimately finishing 11th.

"I'm proud of the effort and attitude we have shown over the last six weekends." Said Head Coach Chad Goodwin, "Everyone is still upbeat, but I think this off week comes at a good time."

The teams get a well-deserved weekend off before bowling in the Jayhawk Invitational, March 13th & 14th.
