Reiver Women Place 4th at Nationals

The Reiver women competed at the NJCAA champions March 5th-7th by starting out with the Doubles and Singles events. After bowling 3 games of doubles, Shalee Bradley and Samantha Liekhus found themselves in the top 10 with an 8th place finish. After completion of doubles, all the women moved on to singles and bowled 3 more games. Shalee Bradley found another top 10 finish, by finding herself in 9th place followed by Dusty Spring finishing 22nd out of 94 women. After combining all scores, we finished the day in 6th place overall.

Day two consisted of 3 tradition team games. With sets of 791, 715, & 876 the women moved up one spot to be 5th going into the last day of competition.

Day three, and the final day of competition, consisted of 3 more traditional team games and 9 games of baker. Down 170 pins, the women had tradition team game sets of 791, 821, & 864, but the women still found themselves in 5th place going into baker. Baker sets made up a lot of ground, with sets of 526, 500, & 598, the women moved up to 4th place to finish the tournament and their season.

The bowling program also produced their first ever All-Americans. Shalee Bradley (4th) and Jacob Schuster (5th). Also having one of her best showings this year, Dusty Spring finished 15th in All-Events.
