Down seven at the half of Saturday's game with Des Moines Area, Iowa Western was looking for answers against a Bears' team that they'd knocked off handily at Reiver Arena just a few weeks back.  The Reivers found them in the second half.

Gabriella Smith scored 17 points and grabbed seven boards, while Arielle McElroy was 4-5 from the line en route to 12 points and five rebounds as the Reivers roared back in the closing half.

After outscoring IWCC in both the first and second quarters, DMACC (D-II, #11) managed only eight third-quarter points as the Reivers took a two-point lead and ballooned it in the fourth to grab their tenth consecutive ICCAC win and eighth victory in a row overall.

Geassy Germano continued her strong work off the glass, leading the team with 10 rebounds, four offensively to keep possessions alive.  Hayley Berfield once again led the Reivers in assists with four, while adding nine points and Ayreona Carter was the top performer off the bench with nine points as she continues to play well after an extended absence.

Next up for the Reivers is a rematch with Kirkwood on the road Saturday afternoon.  The Reivers were outgunned on their home floor by the Eagles in the season's first meeting.  That game can be watched here.
