Council Bluffs, IA - Iowa Western Community College pulled away in the fourth quarter to top the North Dakota State College of Science 69-49 in women's basketball Tuesday at the Reiver Arena.
The win was Iowa Western's fourth in its last five games and keeps the Reivers perfect at home at 6-0. "We had a poor first half," said Iowa Western Coach Lindsey Vande Hoef, "but we came around in the second half. De'Ayra Davis was a key for us and our defense got the turnovers. We made four-of-seven three-point baskets in the fourth quarter."We were missing Kiara Dallmann, who is out with a concussion. I don't know when she will be backed. She is being looked at by some power five schools. But we had others step up in her absence,"
Davis led the Reivers with 17 points and Aubriana Noti added a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Iowa Western made 14-of-16 foul shots and enjoyed a 37-23 edge in rebounding.
