The Iowa Western women's basketball team shot 50 percent from the field and outrebounded Highland (Ill.) 54-27 on Thursday night in a 91-54 season-opening win.
"It was a good first win,'' Iowa Western coach Lindsey Vande Hoef said. "I think obviously we are really trying to build a new team and new identity this year. I'm excited to see how this is all going to come together.''
