Eli Espinosa

Elicia (Eli) Espinosa begins her first season as Iowa Western Softball's hitting coach for 2023-24.  Coach Eli comes to Council Bluffs after spending the last four seasons playing at NCAA D1 University of Utah, playing in the PAC-12.  During her time with the Utes, Espinosa played under DJ Gasso and Paige Parker, helping the team to their first-ever PAC-12 tournament championship, defeating UCLA during her senior year.

Utah would go on to host and win the WCWS Regional and Super Regional, allowing Espinosa to live out her dream of reaching the 2023 Women's College World Series.

Coach Espinosa began her collegiate career at the University of Texas in the BIG XII under Coach Mike White. As a freshman, the Longhorns were just one win from reaching the 2019 WCWS, losing a three-game series to Alabama.

A Littleton, Colorado native, Espinosa earned her Bachelor's degree in Health and Kinesiology from the University of Utah in 2022.
