Iowa Western notched a series sweep over Marshalltown in their four game set over the weekend.  The Reivers took both on Saturday 11-9 and 15-5.  On Sunday, it took nine innings to get the 3-1 win in game one and finished the sweep with a 6-4 victory in the night cap.

Brook Melnychuk and Libby Walls both picked up two wins on the weekend, with Melnychuk also earning a save.  Mattilyn Reiling was a stand out for IWCC, going 8-14 with two homeruns and two doubles in the four games.  Along with Reiling, Taya Opheim, Madeline Layman, Jessica Strandlund, and Katriana Bain all went deep during the series.

Iowa Western will be on the road again to take on Southwestern Iowa on Tuesday. First pitch set for 2pm.
