Wade DeVries

Wade DeVries is beginning his first year as the Jumps coach the Reivers in 2022-23

Coach DeVries has spent the past 13 years as the jumps coach for 2 area High Schools in Omaha, Nebraska at Gross Catholic and Skutt Catholic.  During that time DeVries has coached many field athletes to point-scoring performances at the Nebraska State meet, and several District Champions. 

Prior to living in Omaha, DeVries served as the Jumps Coach for Dordt College, in Sioux Center, Iowa for one season.  During that season, he produced an All-American in the Triple Jump, placing 6th in the NAIA National Championships. 

DeVries attended Northwestern College and played three years of basketball, one year of indoor track & field, and four years of outdoor track & field.  He qualified for NAIA Nationals in his only year of indoor, finishing 7th in the triple jump in 2003.  A three-year national qualifier for Outdoor NAIA Nationals, DeVries finished as runner-up in the triple jump in 2003.  Wade held school records in the long and triple jumps at Northwestern; 18 years in the Long Jump, and 20 years in the triple jump before they were recently broken.

DeVries graduated from Northwestern College in 2004 and now lives in Omaha Nebraska with his wife Courtney DeVries, his son Cooper, and daughter Lincoln.
