Reivers Compete Well At Black & Gold Invite

Iowa City, IA- The Reivers were back in action this past weekend competing at the Black & Gold Invite hosted by the University of Iowa. The Reivers added more qualifiers in a strong showing in Iowa City. 

The highlight of the meet came from Faith Chepengat as she broke another school record in the women's 3000m posting the top time in the nation. The top men's performance of the day came from Shamar Deacon finishing 3rd in the men's 600m.

Women

  • Amya Clarke finished 5th in the women's 60m dash (7.54)
  • Faith Chepengat finished 1st in the 3000m (9:46.57)
  • Sierra Coward finished 4th in the women's 60mh (8.85)
  • Makeda Newman finished 6th in the 400m (58.24)
  • Patricia Johnson finished 6th in the long jump (5.70m)
  • Kiana Estima finished 9th in the long jump (5.57m)
  • Women's 4x400m relay finished 5th (3:54.49)

 

Men

  • Aarron Westmoreland finished 7th in the 60m (6.86)
  • Ethan Brenneman finished 9th in the 800m (1:56.42)
  • Shamar Deacon finished 3rd the 600m with a time of (1:20.71)
  • Shawn Kiptoo won the 3000m with a time of (8:41.01)
  • Tyrell Johnson finished 9h in long jump (6.92)
  • Johnie Jean-Jacques finished 9th in shot put (15.42)
  • Men's 4x400m relay finished 3rd (3:15.94)
