The Reivers close the season with 14 NJCAA All Americans 2 Nationals Runner-up 2 school records broken
The weekend stated out with the Decathalon lead by Marcus Klein and Evan Porter. Marcus has PR in 4 of the 10 events includeing long jump which was 7.34m good enoung to put him in the top 10 of all jumpers at Iowa Western. Marcus took 2nd with a score of 6643 nationals runner up and njcaa all american. Vincent Gordon gets disqualifed in the 100m for a false start but comes back in the 200 to take 6th place with a time of 20.82 earing NJCAA All American Status. Dexton Crutchfield takes 8th place in the mens long jump with a leap of 7.12m. Freshman Keyon Burton take 2nd in the mens javelin with a thorw of 60.72m breaking the scool record that he set last weeknend by 3 meters. The 4x100 and 4x400 both qualify for the finals but a uncalled lane violation cause the reivers to not finish the 4x100 relay not letting the result of the error get there sprits down the reivers battle in the 4x400 running a time of 3:08.52 just off the school record of 3:08.02 placeing 4th and earning NJCAA All American status. The womens 4x100 takes 8th place with a time of 46.67 earning NJCAA All American. Sophomore Salome Brugier takes 4th in the pole vault with a jump of 3.35m becoming a 3x NJCAA All American. Sophomore Zarin Goodrich takes 3rd in the javelin and breaks the school record that she set the week befoere by 2 meters throwing 42.84m. The Reivers competed like champions with class there were several questionable calls but the Reivers kept their composure to repsent the school in a great way.
