LINCOLN, NE/ CRETE, NE
This week the Reivers are split half headed over to Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, NE the others when to Doane in Crete,NE. The meet started off with field events lead by sophomore David Ejumeta who produced some monster jumps over 7.40m but were controversially called fouls. Salome Brugier finished 4th in the pole vault with a jump of 3.35m which is good enough for 2nd place on the NJCAA leaderboard.The sprints were lead by Freshman Traci Brown who set another PR in the 60m with a time of 7.63. Vincent Gordon in his first meet this season and set a PR and ties the school record with a time of 6.77 and good enough for the 3rd sport in the NJCAA ranks. Transfer Briyana Carter has her first meet as a Reiver and wins the Scott Nisely Invite and qualifies for the Nationl meet with a time of 7.74 good enough for the 6th spot on the NJCAA leaderboard. Makhtar Mbaye runs the 60m for the first time and post a time of 7.07 Freshman Neri Getraide bests her time in the 1000 with a 3:14.96 which is only half a second from qualifing for the Nationl Track Meet.
Next week the Reivers will be in action in Brookins SD at SDSU
