Andrew Oberg joins the Iowa Western Community College swim program as the new Assistant Coach for both the men’s and women’s teams in 2024-25.

 

Hailing from Sioux City, Iowa, Andrew’s passion for swimming began at the young age of seven and has been a defining aspect of his life ever since.  As a student-athlete, Andrew honed his skills and knowledge at Iowa Central Community College and Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he studied History. His transition from athlete to coach began with a position as Lead Coach for the Johnston Blaze club team, where he developed a strong foundation in coaching. He then advanced to McKendree University, serving as the Men's and Women's Assistant Swimming Coach, furthering his experience and expertise.

 

Andrew’s dedication to the sport is also evident from his participation as a counselor and coach at the Aggie Swim Camp 2024 hosted by Texas A&M University. His diverse experiences and commitment to the sport make him a valuable asset to the Iowa Western Community College swim program.
