De'Quaan Haggerty

De'Quaan Haggerty enters his first season as assistant men’s basketball coach at Iowa Western in the 2023-24 season.  Haggerty spent the 2022-23 season as the top assistant for Coach Shaw at Allen County Community College where he helped the Red Devils to a 23-10 record and a runner-up finish in the finals of the KJCCC Tournament.

In 2021-22 Haggerty was a graduate assistant coach at Midwestern State University where he assisted in player development, individual workouts, scouting reports, coordinated film, and assisted with practices. Haggerty helped the Mustangs to a 16-15 record and a 10-6 conference record earning a spot in the Lone Star Conference postseason tournament in the 2021-22 season. 

The Topeka, Kansas native played two seasons for the Mustangs of Midwestern State University as a reserve guard under Nelson Haggerty. Haggerty received his bachelor's degree of Applied Arts and Sciences in 2019. Before his Mustang campaign, he competed for the Red Devils of Allen Community College under head coach Andy Shaw. Haggerty received his Associate's degree in communications from Allen Community College in 2016.

Haggerty is a 2013 graduate of Topeka Highschool in Topeka, Kansas.
