Sedalia, MO -- Just like last Tuesday (11/5) evenings remarkable comeback against Butler, the Iowa Western's men's basketball team fell behind quickly to the host team of the inaugural Iowa / Missouri Challenge; State Fair.  However, unlike in the previous game against Butler, the Reivers were unable to reel back in the Roadrunners on their home floor. Ultimately falling 80-58.

The game was more competitive then the score would indicate however, particularly in the second half as Iowa Western trimmed an 18 point halftime lead to as many as 11 points twice, and with 7:23 left to play trailed by 10 and possessed the ball.  But on this evening it was not ment to be, as the Reivers shot only 4/20 from behind the 3pt arch.

Caleb Huffman was the only Reiver to collect double figure scoring (13 points) as the Roadrunners out-ran the Reivers from start to finish.

By day's end the Iowa / Missouri Challenge was a dead heat moving into Saturday's match-ups at 2 wins apiece for both states.  It doesn't get any easier as Iowa Western plays quite possibly Missouri's most potent foe; though unlike against State Fair, it will at least be a nuetral site affair.  5-0 Moberly, the #9 ranked team in the nation looms tomorrow afternoon (11/9) for the Reivers. Tip between the Reivers and Greyhounds is slated for 5:00pm.
