Bio

FRESHMAN SEASON (Martin Methodist): Andre Silva redshirted his collegiate freshman season at Martin Methodist University (TN) during the 2017-18 academic calender year.  Having not played for Head Coach Scott Combs' Redhawks, Andre still has four years of playing eligibility left.

HIGH SCHOOL: Silva attended and played at J. Escola Triunfo High School in Ipatinga, Brazil.  Andre was the final signee of Iowa Western's 2018 recruiting class that had to replace 8 players from last season's Region XI Runners-Up squad; with all 8 of those now competing at NCAA D1 or D2 schools with full scholarships this fall.  The 6'9 forward / center was a tremendous final addition; adding size, athleticism, and depth to the Reivers' front-court.  Silva averaged 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots per contest in his senior season at Triunfo.

Personal: Andre is the son of Osmar and Simone Silva.
