Bio

SOPHOMORE SEASON: Diaz was a consistent performer in 2017-18.  The 6'7 sophomore contributed significant minutes while supplementing eventual PAC 12 signee Isaiah Wade at the power forward position. Diaz signed in May with NCAA D2 program Northwest Nazarene in Boise, Idaho; where he will "share the city" with fellow Reiver teammate and NJCAA All-American Pat Dembley who will be attending and competing for the Boise State Broncos this fall. Beto was selected by the NJCAA, along with fellow teammate Shaun Doss, as an Academic All-American for his efforts in the classroom as well as on the hardwood.

FRESHMAN SEASON (Tohono O'odham JC): Adalberto Diaz, or "Beto" as his teammates refer to him; averaged 16 ppg and 8 rpg during his freshman season for coach Mathew Vargas' NJCAA member Jegos.  His efforts earned him an invitation to the elite juco Jerry Mullen "Top 100" Camp this past summer.

High School: Beto helped lead coach Ricardo De La Riva's Nogales High School Apaches to a 20 win season; averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds per contest.  That effort netted the 6'7 forward an All State selection.

Personal: Beto is the son of Gilberto and Ruth Diaz.
