Although he didn't pick up the win, Iowa Western freshman Braedyn McLaughlin tossed some solid innings in his first NJCAA appearance against Northeastern Oklahoma. He completed five innings allowing one hit and three walks while striking out seven. The Reivers held a 3-0 lead at the time he left.
