Game 1: Iowa Western tops Iowa Lakes CC with a score of 8-0. Offensively, Cyler Melvin led the charge with a 2 for 3 game with 3 RBIs. On the mound Jacob Gilbert picks up his 3rd win of the season going 6 innings giving up 3 hits, walking 0, and striking out 8 batters. Trystan Kimmel finished the game by facing 3 batters in the 7th. 

Game 2: Reivers beat the Lakers with a score of 3-0. Colin Kasperbauer and Ross Indlecoffer were the only Reivers to knock in runs, with Colin Kasperbauer knocking in 2 on a 2 for 3 day. Derek Shoen picks up the win in relief, going 2 hitless innings, walking 1 and striking out 2. Trystan Kimmel picked up the save, striking out 2 Lakers in the process. 

The Reivers will continue action this weekend facing off against Marshalltown Community College (4/27-28). Saturday's games will be played at Marshalltown, while Sunday's will be play at home.
