It is the beginning of the 2019 season and across the country teams are getting started with the road to Grand Junction, CO. Here in Council Bluffs the Reivers are no exception to this. As the count down to the first game gets closer and closer the Reivers are working hard for the season to come.
After a great season in 2018 where the Reivers finished at the College World Series they are returning some key players. On the mound Marius Balandis, Jordan Bonk, and Jayden Kruse will be pivotal parts of the pitching staff this year. On offence Ronald Sweeny, Isaiah Peterson, and Ross Indlecoffer were All-Region XI Team last year and will really help lead this young team in the right direction.
With quite a few new freshmen and a few transfers the Reivers are ready to hit the ground running. As they open their season against NEO in Oklahoma on February 22nd the Reivers have been pre-season ranked in the top ten in all of the country?s major polls. PBR and Perfect Game have the Reivers ranked at #9, NJCAA has them ranked at #4 and JBB ranked at #2.
