Reiver Women Bounce Back to Gain a 2nd Place Finish

The Reiver Women golf team came back in their second event of the Spring season to finish 2nd at the Concordia Bulldog Invite. The event was hosted by Concordia University held at Highland Golf Course in Lincoln, NE in TOUGH weather conditions. With the 'feel like' temp hovering around 37 degrees and a brisk north wind at 20 mph, the Women were able to shoot a score of 325, just 4 shots out of 1st place The Reiver women improved 33 strokes in just a weeks time from their last tournament.

Lisa Lied received medalist honors with a winning score of 76. This marks her second victory this year. Emily Spies finished in 7th place with a round of 81. Kimberly Parks continued her hot play with a round of 83. While Marisa Weeks and Kassy Vest improved their scoring average with a 85 and a 87 respectfully. The 87 for Kassy marked her lowest collegiate golf round for her.

Over-all the women played well and improved in all area's of their game. They will be at in again April 7th & 8th down in Oklahoma where they will be competing against a loaded field in the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic hosted by Oklahoma City University.
