The Reiver Women competed recently in the Bellevue Fall Invite at Platteview Country Club in Bellevue, NE. 4 of the 5 Iowa Western players experienced playing 36 holes in one day for the first time in their career. Since the tournament was condensed from 2 days into 1 it made for a long day. The first few holes of round 1 set the tone for the day. The course was set-up to play fast with greens rolling extremely quick.

The Women turned in a first round total score of 351 placing them in 3rd place, only 7 strokes out of 2nd. Sophomore Lisa Lied led the Reivers in round 1 with a 76 and only sat 1 stroke back from the lead.

The 2nd round started off with the wind increasing which in turn made the greens even quicker for this round. However, the Reivers settled in and learned from the fast greens in round 1 and improved their team score by 10 (341). Lisa fired a score of 80 to end the tournament tied for 2nd. All 4 Freshman improved from their first rounds. Emily Spies improved 7 strokes to finish in 10th position over-all. Corey Mein improved 3 strokes to end in a Tie for 15th. Marisa Weeks improved 4 strokes to finish tied for 22nd. and Kassy Vest also improved 2 strokes to end in24th place.
