Inaugural Golf Camps off to a Great Start

The Iowa Western Golf program has kicked off the first of many golf camps to come. The camps are specific for high school age players in the region to continue playing during the winter months. With the new golf facility on campus it allows the coaches to reach out to the high school's in the region and offer up a place to practice. The Iowa Western coaches provide a structured session which consist of putting, chipping and using the Flight Scope technology to help the golfers fine tune their game.

"With the new facility that we were able to build here on campus, it not only helps our Student-Athletes during the winter months, but it it also provides us an opportunity to help develop a relationship with the local youth and coaches and to help build the young golf community," said Assistant Golf coach Matt Robinson.

2 sessions were offered for this inaugural season. Both sessions were for a 4 week period meeting once a week. With the success of this first year we look to build on this and offer up more sessions in the future.
