Council Bluffs, Iowa

DeWayne Vass scored 12 of his game-high 23 points and Reivers Men's Basketball grabbed a 10 point halftime lead en route to a, 77-65 ICCAC, victory over visiting Northeast.

Iowa Western (7-6, 7-6) shot 53% from the field and had four players, including Vass, in double-figures.  Kelvin Balfour (15), Marcedus Leech, Jr. (13) and Elijah Pickens (12) joined Vass on the plateau, while Roland McCoy nearly joined the club, adding nine points.  Vass also grabbed six boards and five assists and Pickens added six helpers and four rebounds.  

The Reivers outrebounded Northeast (3-11, 3-11) to sweep the season series from the Hawks and grab their second straight victory as the season's final month begins.

Next up for the team is a clash with DMACC on the road on Saturday afternoon.  The game is part of a double-header with the Women's squad and can be viewed here.
