3 Reivers Sign with NCAA Division I Programs

Caleb Huffman, Kaleb Thornton and Jalen Dalcourt signed National Letters of Intent with NCAA Division I programs this past week.  Caleb Huffman signed with Central Michigan University, Kaleb Thornton with Northern Illinois University and Jalen Dalcourt with San Jose State University.  Both Central Michigan and Northern Illinois participate in the Mid-American Conference while San Jose State competes in the Mountain West Conference.

Huffman was the Reivers second leading scorer and rebounder this season averaging 16.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.  Huffman was a two year starter for Iowa Western and the 6'4 sophomore Guard from Tulsa Oklahoma earned second team all Region XI honors during 2019-20. 

Thonton finished the season scoring 10.8 points per game and led Iowa Western in assists averaging 3.4 assists per contest.  Thornton, 6'0 Point Guard from Bolingbroook Illinois also received second team All Region XI accolades for his production during his freshman season. 

Dalcourt, a transfer from Tallahassee Community College averaged 10.6 points per game to go along with 3.4 rebounds.  The 6'2 sophomore Guard from Lafayette Louisiana was recognized for his efforts during his sophomore campaign by earning Region XI honorable mention honors.

Huffman, Thornton and Dalcourt join teammate Josiah Strong who also signed a NCAA Division I National Letter of Intent with Illinois State University in November.  Josiah Strong led the Reivers in scoring during the 2019-20 season averaging 17.8 points per game while shooting 46% from behind the arc and making 90 three-point field goals on the season. Strong's performance earned him All-American honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association.
