Strong Earns NJCAA All-American Honors

Iowa Western sophomore Guard Josiah Strong earned All-American recognition by the National Junior College Athletic Association.  Josiah was an honorable mention selection for his performance during the 2019-20 season for the Reivers.  The 6'3 Guard from Brooklyn Park Minnesota led Iowa Western in scoring averaging 17.8 points per game and three-point shooting, shooting 46% while making 90 three-point field goals of the year.  His 90 made three-point field goals during the 2019-20 season places him third in Iowa Western program history for made three point field goals in a season behind Pat Dembley (92), who went on to play for Boise State University and Avery Patterson (110) who continued his playing career at St. Johns University.  Strong becomes the 15th player in Iowa Western Men's Basketball program history to earn All-American honors by the NJCAA.

Josiah signed his national letter of intent in November and will continue his player career next season with Illinois State University.
