A Tiger Returns to the 'ZOU', Reivers' Quinlan Headed to SEC Country

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA –

A golden opportunity to head home was too much to pass on for Reiver Women's Soccer Assistant Jordan Quinlan.  'JQ' is headed back to Columbia, Missouri, where she graduated from MU, as the latest addition to the Mizzou Women's Soccer coaching squad.

"It is bittersweet to leave Iowa Western, my student-athletes, and my colleagues that quickly became friends and family in just a year's time," Quinlan said.  "I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such a stellar and successful program. IWCC has allowed me to grow as a young professional, preparing me for my next adventure and career opportunity. Going back to Mizzou is like coming home to where it all began. The University of Missouri is where my coaching career started and where I found my way back to the game of soccer. I am so excited to continue my coaching journey and the opportunity to work with Coach Blitz and the rest of the women's soccer staff."

A chance e-mail to Mizzou Head Coach Bryan Blitz about summer soccer camps in Columbia led to Quinlan's departure, just one year after joining the Reivers.  Quinlan helped Head Coach Adam Sanchez lead the 2018-19 Reivers squad to the NJCAA National Tournament semi-finals.

"I am extremely excited for this opportunity for Jordan. The opportunity to work in the SEC and continue to grow, progress, and further her career is exciting and we have been privileged to work with her this past year and be a small part in her coaching journey," said IWCC Head Coach Adam Sanchez.  "We will miss her professionalism and passion for the sport, but most importantly we will miss her commitment to the Reiver Family and her coaching expertise she provided to the soccer program. Jordan was all in since the day she started and I was always impressed by how quickly the "you" turned to "we" & "us".  She's going back to the black and gold, but bleeds Reiver blue!"

Originally from St. Louis, Quinlan attended the University of Missouri where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology before receiving her Master's Degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University.
