Volleyball Splits Reiver Classic to Open the Season

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - Iowa Western Volleyball opened the 2023 season by splitting four games at the Reiver Classic.  IWCC defeated Dodge City 3-2 to start the tournament but fell in five sets to No. 6 Western Nebraska in game two of the day.  The Reivers went the distance again versus 17th-ranked Butler, ending in a heartbreaker but bounced back to win 3-1 versus Jefferson College.

Iowa Western will head to Jefferson on August 25th for a classic, taking on 3rd-ranked Missouri State-West Plains, Jefferson, No.2 Miami Dade, and the College of Southern Idaho.
