All 6 Reiver sophomores have chosen to take their volleyball careers to the next level.  Four of those players will attend Division I Universities and two will attend NAIA programs.  This group of girls had an impressive 76-8 overall record with a Runner up and 7th place finish respectfully at the National tournament. Not only was this group one of the most talented in Reiver history, but they also got the job done in the classroom.  As a class, these 6 women obtained at 3.35 cumulative GPA.  Please help us congratulate these young women for their outstanding two years at Iowa Western and wish them the best of luck at their next school!

Ali Verzani: Lawton, IA native

Commitment:  Tenessee Tech Univeristy (DI)

Two Year Stats:  (Redshirt Freshmen season) 330 Kills, 5 Assists, 3 Aces, 87 Digs and 73 Blocks

Accolades:  Team Leader, Two time Academic All-Region, NJCAA Academic All-American, 3rd overall on the team in kills and 4th overall on the team in blocks.

 

Caitlyn Cooper: Missouri City, TX native

Commitment:  University of Kentucky (DI)

Two Year Stats: 1,066 Kills, 34 Assists, 53 Aces, 798 Digs and 186 Blocks

Accolades:  Two Time NJCAA 1st Team All-American, Two time AVCA 1st Team All-American, 2 Time National Tourney All-Tournament Team, 2 Time 1st Team All-Reigion, All Academic in 2017, Player of the week, First on the team in kills, 4th all time in the Iowa Western record book for total kills, and finished third in the Nation for total kills this season.

 

Emi Pua'a: Honolulu, HI native

Commitment:  University of Arizona (DI)

Two year stats:  9 kills, 194 Assists, 49 Aces, and 972 digs

Accolades:  1st Team All-Region in 2017, Academic All-Region in 2017, 1st on the team in digs and 2nd on the team in assists, player of the week and 17th in the Nation in total digs

 

Kaci Hohenthaner:  Council Bluffs,IA native

Commitment:  Concordia University (NAIA)

Two Year Stats:  7 kills, 190 assists, 28 aces, 165 digs and 8 blocks

Accolades:  Academic All-Region in 2017, 3rd on the team in total assists

 

Isabel Hinkeldey:  Alta, IA native

Commitment:  Kansas Wesleyan (NAIA)

Two Year stats:  (only here for 1 season)  14 kills, 3 assists, 1 dig and 5 blocks

Accolades:  1st team Academic All-Region in 2017

 

Makayla Doyle:  Dubuque, IA native

Commitment:  Winthrop University (DI)

Two year stats:  411 kills, 9 assists, 39 digs and 255 blocks

Accolades:  1st Team All-Region in 2017, 1st on the team in total blocks, 12th in the Nation in total blocks, two time Academic All-Region, NJCAA Academic All American, Player of the week and 4th on the team in total kills.
