Marshalltown, IA- Last night Iowa Western played their third conference match against the Marshalltown Tigers. The Reivers earned their 19th win of the season in a three-straight set match (25-17, 25-10 and 25-13).
The offense for the Reivers remained sharp and efficient as they hit .417 as team, with 42 kills and only 7 errors. Caitlynn Cooper topped the team with 12 kills while Irina Alekseeva followed with 8. Makayla Doyle had her 6th perfect game of the season, collecting 5 kills and no errors. Morgan Bossler contributed to the offense as well with 7 kills, in addition to 5 blocks.
The defense showed consistency as Emi Pua'a, Elizabeth Fleckenstein and Hina Pua'a all registered 8 digs each. Freshman, Savannah Downing, registered 6 digs in addition to 4 service aces.
The Reivers will face Johnson County at home this Saturday at 3pm.
